Deleting honors and defacing headstones is only venting, nothing is accomplished by it. The worst part of it would be the embarrassment of those who had bestowed the honors in the first place. There must have been a lot of "Oh my god!" reactions and public backtracking. I thought the first thing would have been to withdraw his knighthood, however. Considering that British history is filled with knighted scoundrels, though, perhaps not. Once a Sir, no doubt always a Sir.

Apparently his headstone has been/will be demolished and various plaques have been removed after being defaced. Various honours have been withdrawn but he is still a sir at the mo.

About Jimmy, tell me, is he still a Sir or has that appendage to his moniker been deleted with the revelations of his predatory predilection? In particular I'm thinking of his tombstone. Does it now bear chisel marks where the Sir has been removed before the slab could be defaced by a mob of the outraged? It would be the smart thing to do if it hasn't been done already.
The part of this story that must be a commentary on British society, because I certainly can't think of any other reason, is the silence of all those victims. I can see a percentage of his victims keeping silent, but ALL of them? When there were so many? Why don't victims of sexual assault in Britain speak out when it happens?
I was given one of those key finders, it came with a master unit that caused the slave unit to beep. Great as long as you didn't lose the master unit. Unfortunately the batteries in both units had short lives and the sound of the beep was more of a peep, you had to be right on top of the missing keys to hear the thing and by that time you'd already found them. More work is needed here.

Trying to log on directly to your home page gives me a message that it's down for maintenance. The first time I saw that, it was a fairly decorative message page but now it's plain black type on a white background. I really preferred the first one, it was more interesting to look at. Do you suppose you could change it back?
