Nothing stays the same. It was really nice back when the Celts were living in caves, painting themselves blue and burying strangled sacrificial victims in the peat bogs. But then along came the damned Germans and Vikings and Romans and changed everything. Stupid immigrants! Now they're doing it again and the United Kingdom will never be united or a kingdom again, and the white people better move away while they have the chance. Because it won't be too many years before their children are all a different color, otherwise.
That's really the thing of it. Here in America, the native tribes that flourished would "immigrate" into new territory, wipe out the population and take over. Then we Europeans came along and did it to them. Now we have hordes of half-Indians swarming back in. Nothing stays the same.

About the March For England et al, too much immigration into any land mass always upsets everything. When the movement of people is gradual, no one gets upset and the newcomers are usually absorbed just fine. It's when hordes of poor East Europeans swarmed in along with hordes of Muslims from Africa and the Middle East that your society reeled with the blow and is still reeling. The whole idea is for immigrants to become part of the whole, NOT for them to make everyone else become like them, the way the Muslims are trying to do there now.
You folks have the same problem we do. A government that's run amok and serves only itself. I don't see either of us being able to re-take our independence, either, short of revolution.

The Afterlife is actually an online game, a MMOG. No, really. In all MMOG's there's a Death Penalty, usually one in which you revivify a long distance away from where you died and have to travel back to reclaim your body or experience or whatever.
You see? When you die, you are sent so far away that it takes you centuries to get back to where you died, before you can proceed to rattle chains, bang on walls and moan a lot.

So government pisses you off, now, does it? Well, that's it's purpose. That's so you can tell that your mind is still working. When it no longer pisses you off, and you stop noticing that you even have a government, that's also when you stop having a mind.
The whole point of having a government is so we can be miserable. We start out with some fool standing up and saying, "I've got it! Let's make a Duty Roster so everyone knows when it's their turn to go either hunting or gathering." He's then told to "Sod the fuck off!" Which he does, writing up his duty roster anyway and pointing out to the women which men are loafing and which are getting something done. So then the women stop putting out to the loafers and then this pernicious little bastard goes to those men and whispers "I know how you can get laid again. Go gather some eggs and nuts for her. So the dumb bastard does, and get laid, and goes back to the pernicious fuck and asks what he can do to get laid again, and there you have it, a government is born. Pretty soon the pernicious bastard is so busy handing out assignments that he has no time to go hunting or gathering, and has to be fed by the others. Bang-o, taxation has begun.
Government has always existed for the purpose of pure vexation. It never accomplishes anything on it's own but it interferes with our sex lives, our leisure time and makes us work harder than we ever would otherwise, in order to get nowhere while seeming to be necessary.
