There is a vast range of opinions on immigration from the barking views of some on the far right who would apparently prefer a stupid white criminal to a high earning black man to the equally barking views of the liberal left who appear to think that the violent criminal nature of some third world societies has nothing whatever to do with the people who live there. All the crimes are committed by camels apparently. I think the great majority of the indigenous population of the UK would have no great problem with immigration, regardless of the migrants' race, if it was properly controlled, with sensible limits on numbers and adequate checks to ensure we take only law abiding and highly skilled people with a committment to fit into our society. Everything we see and read tells us that is not the truth of it and part of that is the apparently regular involvement of migrants/minorities in so many serious crimes that we see in the media. A false impression shaped by our predudices? Maybe, what we need is an impartial check. Starting today Friday 13th July of this week 9th July 2007, we will be recording on this SAY NO MORE page very brief details of EVERY major violent crime in the UK whoever is responsible. A scientific test must have strict criteria set in advance to avoid bias. We therefore state in advance that a "major violent crime" is a murder, rape or violent assault which must be serious enough to make the main/UK pages of the BBC, Telegraph, Times, Guardian or Independent websites. We will not use tabloids or links from regional pages. If at the end of one year from now the tally of violent crimes committed by certain sectors among the migrant/minority communities is not significantly out of proportion to their numbers I shall happily say so. After all, we none of us should have a problem with the truth should we? PS: When does an unknown become a probable? When someone is arrested or a warrant issued for their arrest and sufficient details are known about them. A certain is a conviction. Verdicts will be updated when further info. becomes available. |

One has some sympathy with this chap and he is no threat to society at large but it fits the criteria by being a murder
mentioned on main page of Guardian website. It is not a scientific test if I pick and choose according to what I think about
a crime. Milakovic was born in Croatia and brought up in Germany.

A woman whose body was found in a field in an Oxfordshire village had been murdered and then set on fire. No clues/suspects as yet.

No news of any really nasty stuff by anyone today, don't think an appeal over a say no more that happened a couple of years ago
really counts. We will clarify early on that it has to be a new crime, arrest, 1st trial or conviction. Any one case will
only be listed once obviously and will be updated when possible.

Verdict 5: SAY NO MORE!
21/07/2007> When I clicked on the link below on the UK page of BBC, I was quite sure it would be NOT a say no more. Nope! Still impartially sticking to exact guidelines, looking thoroughly at main/UK pages in early evening and posting ALL I find. Early days but the say no morish tedency is running consistently at over 50%. Are the media biased, even the supposedly liberal BBC, Guardian and Independent? I also check the regional and crime pages and although I cannot report those as they are not in my guidelines, the pattern looks about the same there except for Scotland. There does seem to be a bias towards what interests the English, with major crimes like this one or this one or this one in Scotland mentioned on the main/UK pages a lot less often than their seriousness would suggest. Actually, Scotland does appear to have an astonishing number of vicious murders! Early days all round yet of course, no statistical significances anywhere.

Probe into jail attack on bomber.
Doused him with boiling oil and water apparently. Pity I did not think of it when setting criteria
or I would have put in a rule to discount crimes that do us all a favour. As it is we shall count it impartially if/when
suspects are known. PS If anyone STABS Blair/Brownstuff I shall pardon them, rules or not.
Verdict 3: Say no moreness unknown
